Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering

The World in general and the underdeveloped and developing  countries like Bangladesh in Particular is now  facing the  serious problem of  ensuring safe, nutritious  and cheap food to cater the need of the common people. This has necessitated the service of huge number of skilled and educated manpower in the field of Nutrition and Food Engineering.

Daffodil International University, being the first and leading private University in Bangladesh has come up to take the challenge of this crucial issue and opened the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) with an aim to provide skilled and educated manpower in this area to cater the need of the ever expanding /fast growing food processing industries of Bangladesh.

The student of the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE) are required to pursue a rigorous course of study which includes theoretical, practical as well as in plant training and thus come out as skilled graduates in this field.

Many of our graduates have started Small and Medium Scale food Industries of their own in which they have been very successful. All other graduates are now employed in different food processing industries at home and abroad. There is an ever increasing demand for our NFE graduates of Daffodil International University and all the Faculty Members of NFE are promise bound to do their best to make our graduates successful in every aspect of their life.
